Luis Pedro the Thief

I was 8, I remember I was playing in my grandmother’s house. It was a pretty nice house; I used to play at the backyard. Every time I went to grandma’s house I spend all day playing with my cousin Boris and with her dog. Boris is the son of my mom’s sister, since I was baby I used to see him almost every days, but now I see him very often. Boris was my best friend, when we were 8 we had a fight and he beat me so I get really angry and I didn’t talk to him until I get 9.

What I was saying is that my grandma’s house was like my second house. I remember the principal door of the house was made of wood and with a lot of strange shapes in the edges. When you get inside the house all the living room was like a yellow-grey contrast. In that living room my grandpa used to watch the TV almost every time, with his coffee cup with one spoon of sugar.

My grandpa used to create really cool stories and adventures that Boris and I were involved. He told us stories about pirates with very dangerous swords, aliens and a really cool spaceship, soldiers, and a lot of things.

My favorite story was “Luis Pedro the thief “. The story was about Boris and I, it was a really good story because it talks about how I steal the banks and I run away of Boris, because he was the police officer. It all begins in Guatemala when I was in Antigua and I was starving, I met a great guy named Juan. Juan saved me because he gave me food, but he told me that I have to help him, so I agree.

I started to live at Juan’s house and he shown me how to do karate and spy’s movements, but I didn’t have any idea that Juan just trained me to be his mate for a robbery. Juan told me that he was a thief and that he helped me because he needed another bandit for his most important plan: Take all the money of the principal bank in Guatemala.

I didn’t have any choice, so I began to learn more karate movements and a lot of robbery techniques. The day was arrived, I was going to enter in the roof of the bank and all I have to do was to open the backdoor so Juan could enter silently in the bank.

I was at the top of the bank and I enter in a window when suddenly a police appeared and he saw me, it was the legendary police officer, Boris, he was famous because he trapped a lot of bandits and takes them to jail without a problem. We started to fight with Boris, first I kicked his leg and   broke it, but he was strong enough to fight with his broken leg. He grabbed me in the neck and I started to scream, so Juan appeared suddenly and he hit Boris to his head. Boris was knocked out so Juan and I went to the place where all the money was and we took all the money.

Juan was so happy and he gave me the half of the money, but I was not a bandit so I gave the half of my part to poor people and the other half I spend it in charity.

That is the most amazing adventure I have ever was because maybe it is not  a real one, but my grandpa was a great storyteller so I believed I was inside the story.

"WONDER"land

the first time I went to Disney world I was 5 years old, I remember those butterflies I felt since my dad told to my sister and I “we are going to Disney world on November” I was the happiest kind in Guatemala.  I always used to dream about Disney but that that it was a dream come true.

That day (the day we were living from our house) it was very cold, I was really confused because I was half asleep when my mom went to wake me up, then I remember sitting on the car, when we get at the airport I was almost realizing that I was going to meet mickey mouse.

The airplane was awesome, my mom says that my face was the most amazing face she had ever seen because I was very happy.

We get to Miami and then we took a car to Orlando, it was a huge free way and it was a very long trip, we get to the hotel and spend the night there.

The next day we were going to Disney world, I remember that when I saw the castle, I thought it was the biggest thing I’ve ever saw, everything in there had magic, from the coke to the games.

I thought it was a dream because nothing could be that awesome or big, everything I saw was pretty like in the movies even though the princess amazed me (I was a power ranger kid, but that day even Ariel, Cinderella and Snow White were the most amazing persons I’ve ever met)

My favorite game was that game with the song “it’s a small world, after all” I get into the game at least 6 times. This game was about the world, a lot of kids were singing a song, with all the costumes from their countries. It was amazing.

Then I saw Mickey Mouse, I wanted to speak with him and tell him about how much I admired him because he was a mouse and he could speak. I remember that when I was 5 I saw Mickey’s show every morning before and after going to school, so I wanted to tell him that and ask him where was Pluto this time? If he was doing his adventures as in the show or if he was on the park, but there were a bunch of kids in the line waiting for their autographs so I couldn’t speak that much with him.

I went with every Disney character to ask them about their autographs, I remember I bought a Donald duck book with a pencil, so then they could put their autographs there, it was very expensive so my dad argued about it, but as always he agreed and bought it to me. My dad also bought me Mickey’s ears and to my sister Minnie mouse’s.

It was a great experience, I went back to Disneyland this year and I thought it was going to be a beautiful and great experience like the last time I went, but I get bored easily, there were just baby games. All the things I saw there in my first time I went was enormous and now I only saw those things normally with no excitement. It is pretty sad to think that my dream when I was kid was not my dream or my favorite place in the world because of my age.

The Girl Next Door

She was beautiful, honest, loyal, amazing, she is my best friend Silvia. Silvia was 14, was like 1.65 m, she was very skinny, she was green eyes, a beautiful nose, curly hair, and she smelled like vanilla. I always trust her even when my eyes were closed. I met her in my neighborhood; I was new there, and she was very kind at me even if I was “the new kid”, her house is in front of my house. I clearly remember the day I met her, I was 6 and I was playing in the neighborhood’s yard. She appeared with her brother Juan Luis and they asked me if I wanted to play basketball with them and I agreed. We played basketball all the afternoon until dinner’s time. Now I can say that she is my best friend because she always helps me and she always was there when I needed her. I used to call her almost every night to tell her my problems and all the things I did. I always went to her house to see movies and eat pizza. I admire her a lot because she always gives me strength to survive and solve my problems. Last summer we were eating pizza and she started vomiting blood, I get really nervous I didn’t knew what to do about that  I just started yelling at her mom and she immediately take her to the hospital, I stayed all the afternoon with Juan Luis waiting to hear some news; it was 7P.M. when we saw some light coming from a car, it was their moms car, so we immediately went to the front door and it was only coming Ana, their mom, we asked her about Silvia and she told us that she was going to spend the night at the hospital because she was very sick, I get really scared so I went to my house, on my way to my house Ana called my mom, I just remember getting into my house and my mom was on the phone with a scared face I asked her what was wrong? And she didn’t reply, I waited there, when my mom hang up the phone I asked her again and she take me to our living room and she said a story about some flowers and a garden I didn’t get what she was trying to say so she just came with the truth “Silvia has cancer” I was really confused, I only was thinking about how someone that was my age was supposed to fight to that kind of illness, it wasn’t fair at all, kids are not supposed to die! Next day my mom took me to the hospital, when I saw Silvia all small and fragile I thought I wouldn’t be able to saw her but she just hold my hands and told me: “you have to promise me something, you’re going to be the best basketball player ever”, actually I didn’t answer her anything I just kept looking at her. She died a few days later, now I don’t play basketball because I find out I wasn’t made to play that sport, but I fall in love with the soccer and now I put my 110% on that sport so then I can accomplish what Silvia asked me, and I’ll greatest soccer player ever.
